  • Selection of target media
  • Making contact and developing relationships with magazine editors and stylists
  • Following of editorial plans at the different fashion publications in order to make timely presentation of items
  • Management of the lending, return, and general care of sample merchandise for use by editors, stylists and other members of the press
  • Submission of reports concerning editorial coverage. Filing of magazine clippings
  • Calculation of value (monetary terms) of editorial magazine coverage
  • Taking of inquiries in response to advertisements and other coverage in the press. Providing information as to product availability
  • Organizational work and advice concerning attendance, by Japanese members of the press, of fashion shows and exhibitions abroad
  • Translation and re-writing of press releases. Development and maintenance of press kits appropriate to Japanese media
  • Organization for attendance by the media at fashion events and receptions in Japan, and for shop openings and events involving introduction of designers during visits to Japan. Setting up of interviews and special coverage
  • Development and maintenance of materials (editor/stylist/journalist lists, media data, etc.) necessary to the above activities
  • Advice and assistance with communications and promotional activities directed at clients and related businesses.
