Born in Tokyo
Attended fashion college.
Began work as assistant designer, gaining design and shop
management skills.
- 1970

Established Buzzshop inc, acting as chief designer.
Opened first “Buzzshop” boutique in Aoyama.
- 1973-81
- Managed and operated a total of 19 direct and franchise shops.
- 1981
- 1981 Ended work in retail in order to concentrate more fully on design and planning work
Established “Design Office Mie” to make a fresh start with design and brand development business.
- 1985
- Established Wag,Inc
- 1988
- 1988 Established Era Inc.
Started project to establish “Wagons-Lits” fashion brand utilizing the emblem as a brand logo.
- 1989
- Established Paris office for Era Inc.
Developed Wagon-Lits product range from clothes to dishes Started new services of brand development and production coordination, and developed creation and launched of A.A.R. brand (Yohji Design Studio and D’Urban Co. collaboration),entering into the field of press relations / communications.
NB. Attache de presse division has since then worked with numerous international brands as well as a number of Japanese brand such brands as MARNI, BALLY, MAX&CO, soe, VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, MARC JACOBS, PAUL&JOE, and FOREVER 21.
- 2000
- Formalized agreement with EFAP (Ecole Francaise des Attaches de Presse) for the opening of the MIE EFAP JAPON Attche de Presse School in Tokyo, in the spring of 2003.
- 2003
- Establish MIE EFAP JAPON
- 2004
- Received the 22nd Mainichi Fashion Grandprix -Amiko Kujiraoka Award.
- 2005
- Turned out the first graduates from MIE EFAP JAPON in March.
MIE EFAP JAPON renamed EFAP JAPON to expand its significance of developing professional attaches de presse in Aprill.
- 2007
- 2007 “If You Don’t Have Passion You Can’t Communicate:
Being an Attache de Presse “published by BP Nikkei Publishing.
- 2008
- Assumes the position of administrative director and councillor
at YAMAWAKI Art College.
- 2008
- 2009‐Honored as “Chevalier of Arts and Literature” by Ministry of Culture and Communication of the Republic of France.
